A Listening Ear

India is facing a mental health crisis.

It’s one of the most depressed countries in the world. It’s also least equipped to respond to the crisis with 1 mental health professional for every 100,000 people.

Redeemer is hosting a 4-day intensive training for biblical counselling. It’s a pathway for developing both lay and professional counsellors in the local church.

It’s for anyone who loves caring for other people and who consider themselves skilled in serving people through counselling. It will equip you to serve people with a listening ear, a skilled mind, a heart of wisdom and a redemptive purpose.

If you’ve had any formal or non-formal counselling experience, we invite you to apply by completing and submitting the form below.

VENUE: New City Church, Hauz Khas Village

Please Note: All applicants must commit to attending all 4-days of training.

22 November: 9am to 4pm
23 November: 9am to 4pm | 6:30-8:00pm Talk & FAQ
24 November: 2pm to 5:30pm

The 201: Membership

The church is one body with many members.

Membership is belonging to a church. It's moving from being friendly with a church to becoming family. It’s when greater intimacy comes with greater devotion and brings greater growth, unity and maturity. It’s how we’re meant to flourish as real people who reveal the real Jesus in the real world.

If you've been attending Redeemer for a while and are looking for a church to call family, we would love to invite you to our membership preview. It will give you a glimpse, a taste and a feel of what it looks like to become a member of Redeemer.

Baptism Day

A wedding ring symbolises the covenant made between husband and wife; circumcision symbolised the old covenant between God and Israel; baptism symbolises the new covenant between Jesus and His bride, the church. Just as by wearing a ring, we are saying we are married to someone, by being baptised we are saying we belong to Christ and are united with Him.

WAITING is written and directed by Shekinah Jacob—a playwright trained by The Royal Court Theatre, London.

Recently her original musical, ‘Queen of Hearts’, was staged to rave reviews in India and the Middle East.
