We’ve Made Something New
We’ve designed a Bible reading plan you will love to use and hate to lose.
Most people don’t finish Bible reading plans because it gets overwhelming to catch up on missed days, it begins to feel like an obligation or duty, and it becomes tough to stay motivated if you’re reading alone.
Word on the Street is designed to equip you to enjoy the Bible as a conversation with a person rather than the reading of a very long book. It’s designed for anyone who wants to finish reading the Bible but doesn’t know where to start.
It’s reader-friendly. You’ll have five days of assigned reading a week and the whole year is portioned in a way that you can jump into the flow of reading anytime of the year.
It’s direction-friendly. It’s designed to finish reading the Bible—slowly, not speedily. This year, you’ll finish one-third of the Bible—seven books from the Old Testament and 16 from the New Testament. Next year’s diary will carry on from where you started.
It’s Gospel-friendly. We designed this plan to help you enjoy the Gospel and be a witness to how it changes you by its beauty and power. We want to you to feel the relief of being received by God as you are, in Christ; and the joy of being transformed into His likeness by His Spirit.
It’s whole-Bible friendly. The Old and New Testaments have beautiful continuity and unity. All OT readings (apart from the Psalms) are paired with one reading from the New Testament that showcase this unity and continuity.
It’s together-friendly. Anything that people do together is likely to be more enjoyable, fulfilling and completed. We’ve designed this plan to be read together with friends in your church family.
